Basic Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 #2.5 can Gage Rice Pilaf Rice Spice
- 7 qts Water
- 1.5 sticks (12 oz) Butter or Margarine
- 4 lbs (64 oz) Rice
Basic Recipe Directions:
STOVETOP OR STEAMKETTLE METHOD:
- Add contents of this can, water, butter or margarine, and rice in a suitable container.
- Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Ready to serve.
WITH BROWN RICE:
- Combine water and butter in a 4"" deep steam pan and bring to boiling on cook top.
- Stir in the rice spice can contents.
- Add the brown rice and return to boiling.
- Cover pan tightly with foil and set in oven.
- Bake for 60 minutes at 400¦F.
- Remove from oven, loosen foil and stir.
- Replace foil and hold, covered in warmer until served.
