Basic Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 #10 can Gage Mud Bar Mix
- 1 bag Mini Chocolate Tidbits (in can)
- 1 3/4 lbs Butter or Margarine
- 14 oz Water
- 1 1/2 lb All Purpose or Whole Wheat Flour
- 2 cups Skim Milk (optional)
Basic Recipe Directions:
FOR COOKIE BARS:
- Thoroughly mix all ingredients in a suitable mixing container.
- Spread evenly into a greased full sheet pan (18x26x2).
- Bake in a pre-heated 375¦F oven approximately 35 minutes or until done (use toothpick test on center).
- Allow to cool before removing from pan.
MUD COOKIES:

Thoroughly mix all ingredients in a suitable mixing container.
- Using a #40 scoop, drop mixture onto three greased 18x26x1"" sheet pans (about 48 per pan).
- Bake in a pre-heated 350¦F oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
For variation: try adding raisins, nuts or peanut butter to the batter.
