Basic Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 #10 can Gage Monster Bar Mix
- 1 bag Candy Coated Lentils (in can)
- 1 3/4 lbs Butter or Margarine
- 14 oz Water
- 1 1/2 lb All Purpose or Whole Wheat Flour
- 2 cups Skim Milk (optional)
Basic Recipe Directions:
OVEN METHOD:
- Thoroughly mix all ingredients except bag of candy coated chocolate lentils.
- Spread evenly into a greased full sheet pan (18 x 26 x 2).
- Sprinkle lentils evenly on top of batter and bake in a preheated 375¦ oven approximately 35 minutes or until done (use toothpick test on center).
- Allow to cool before removing from pan.
For variation: try adding raisins, nuts or peanut butter to the batter.
